Biography
Senior Circuit Judge Douglas Ginsburg was appointed to the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia in 1986. From 2001 to 2008, he served as Chief Judge. Judge Ginsburg has previously taught law at Columbia University, Harvard Law School, New York University Law School, University College London, and the University of Chicago Law School. He has also served as the Deputy Assistant and then Assistant Attorney General for the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice, as well as the Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs in the Office of Management and Budget. In 2020, Judge Ginsburg received the Department of Justice’s John Sherman Award for his lifetime contributions to the development of antitrust law and the preservation of economic liberty.
