Biography
Michael Vita is the former Deputy Director for Research and Management in the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Economics. Mike is an antitrust practitioner and scholar who has published dozens of peer-reviewed articles in journals that included the Antitrust Law Journal, Review of Industrial Organization, Journal of Industrial Economics, Journal of Regulatory Economics, International Journal of the Economics of Business, Journal of Competition Law and Economics, and International Journal of Industrial Organization. Additionally, Mike spent 15 years as an Assistant Director for Antitrust in the Bureau of Economics, where he managed merger investigations in various industries, including grocery retailing and manufacturing, health care, pharmaceuticals, cable television, among many others.
